RE: Bleach Left Yellow Stains on T-shirts
Yellow Out is amazing product. Available in the USA and Canada. Check online where you can buy it. I believe Walmart, Ace Hardware carry it in Texas. What you have is Bleach Burn. As Linda says you probably used too much bleach. Yellow Out will do the trick. Hedera ... View related article.

RE: Covering Windows With Plastic to Reduce Heating Bills
Anything that keeps the drafts out will be keep money in your pocket.

For years before we replaced our old windows, we installed the window kits every fall. Almost the instant we finished the window kit installation, the house was not only warmer, but maintained the heat very well through out the entire day.

There was a home renovation show I saw that demonstrated the heat loss in a home with drafty windows. For 6 windows that leaked out the heat, it was the equivalent of having a hole in the
wall 2' X 2' - The window kits are well worth the few dollars they cost. If done properly, it will take you a couple of hours to do the entire house. Make sure you have a blow dryer/hair dryer, as it is crucial to the proper installation. Good Luck & stay warm. ... View related article.

RE: Cleaning Sticky Residue on Laminate Flooring
The product I use is Goo Gone. It is available in Canada, I live in Ontario. I have yet to come across a sticky problem it cannot get rid of. Also, the bottle I bought over 5 years ago is still in use, a little goes a long way, and it works every time. ... View related article.

RE: Removing Vinyl Tiles
If it is a smaller area I would suggest the following: First warm the tile with either a hair dryer or a heat gun.
Secondly, using a broad bladed spackle knife pry up the tile.

It works on any surface that vinyl tile is stuck to. Also it greatly reduces the glue sticking to the concrete/wood floor beneath the tile.

RE: Removing Sunscreen from Whites
There is a product here in Canada called Yellow Out. I don't know if they sell it in the UK. Other than that, what about Vanish either the bar soap or the powder? I know it just about removes any stain. And there is the oldest soap I know,
Fairy Soap in the bar form. I would not try anything with bleach in it. It may yellow the stained areas even worse. I hope this has helped. ... View related article.

RE: Amelia the Cat
Congratulations! Amelia is a beauty, and at last has found a home she deserves.

I was at the Upper Grand Humane Society on Monday, looking to see if they had a small dog for a friend of mine who has recently lost her companion of 10 years. I was saddened by the number of older cats there. This weekend they are having an Adopt-a-thon for cats and kittens, because they have so many at the present time.
If only people could see the wonderful character the older animals have, and understand that they will get as much joy and pleasure from an older cat as they would from a kitten. As an owner of three cats, I find it difficult to understand why the mature animals are passed over so often. My Older Tribe are such a wonderful bunch, I could not imagine life without them.

I wish you well with Amelia, time and patience is all that Bonnie and Toby need, however it sounds like they already have settled into their new life with their new sibling. I am sure it is a happy beginning for everyone. ... View related article.

RE: Reusing Milk Sleeves
As a fellow Ontarian, Milk in bags is commonplace. I wash mine out and reuse them as freezer bags. They are super thick, and seem to prevent freezer burn. Just so the rest of the world knows, We Canadians get "bags of milk" - 3 smaller bags in a 4 litre bag of milk. The smaller bag fits inside a milk jug for pouring. Milk also comes in cartons of various sizes up to 2 litres.

RE: Float Ideas for a Mom's Group
T'was The Night Before Christmas......

All the Children in their PJ's & house coats
One Child as the mouse
One Mom as the Dad
A decorated Tree
A fireplace made of cardboard

Get a copy of the book from the Library, the illustrations should provide you with decorating ideas.

All the Children will own PJ's, and I am sure someone has a tree you could borrow, the Children could make the tree ornaments as one of their activities, or see who in your group has old Christmas stuff they don't want, and have some fun re-vamping it - the cost for all this would be minimal.

Good Luck & have fun ... View related article.
