i personally wore a uniform from first grade to senior year in high school. at the time i didn't appreciate it, but on my first day of college i stood in front of my closet longing for my uniform, i had no idea what to wear! it took forever to get dressed. "getting dressed for school" was an alian concept to me. a uniform reduces the fight about clothes and shortens the length of time it takes getting ready in the morning. i went to private catholic schools that scholarshiped less fortunate kids and you couldn't tell them apart from the kids whose parents were doctors. i believe it levels the playing field and offers everyone an equal chance. My boys name was Rex. I watched him be born when i was in 7th grade and I picked him out of the litter for myself. He was the greatest dog in the world (that is what we all think of our own, but we know that every one's dog is the best). Being a shepherd, as he got older, he began to suffer from hip problems and a year and a half ago we had to put him down. He was 13 or 14. My family and I may have had more time with our big baby, but I still cry for him whenever I hear our neighbor's shepherd is barking and playing in their yard.
