I WEAR THEM when worn with jeans they can't be seen, and with shorts or sandals I try to make the combo as ourageous as possible as to the comment "uh, your socks don't match...." I say "sure they do! see-taupe and black with taupe flowers!" Leave the lights on, blinds open after washing the taps/faucets-dry them get them sparkling- even if the tub is slightly stained no one will notice because the taps make the first immpression buy an attractive front doormat (it can be cheap - doesn't have to last) and keep the clutter out of sight, even if it's under the bed- also consider putting some stuff into storage lots of furniture makes rooms look smaller ... An alternative to canned predserves is fruit leather. so after the cupboard's full of jams and jelly, break out a dehydrator Good mixes include: -stawbwerry/apple - bueberry/pear - rasberry/and anything, (strain half of the seeds from the rasberry puree)and blackberry? pear or apple rhubarb mixes well with cherries, apple, strawberry and pear Puree the fruit and pour onto lined trays, about 1/8to1/4" thick if you use cereal box liners to line the trays then when the fruit leather comes out it needs only to be flipped over on it's liner and rolled up I have an american harvest snackmaster (my mom got tired of lending me hers and got it for me) and would highly reccomend it ... buy the good stuff-the really good stuff FAIR TRADE ORGANIC- and limit youself to one cup (or two) of it after that use the cheap stuff(or tea) using a single cup drip cone or a french press makes you think about your intake too REMEMBER If you get the coffe for cheap, there's a farmer out there who is getting near zero pay(and probably cancer too) Between my husband and I we use about 1 lb per month now. that works out to 25c each per day and i refuse to buy cheap coffee. ...
