RE: What Breed is My Dog?
The American pitbull terrier is not a staff bull or staff terrier or whatever that guy just said. the American pit bull terrier is the American pit bull terrier. They have their own registry, they are their own dog. if you would like to know if its pure bred, you need to look at its papers. if you don't have papers for the dog then its probably a mutt. Someone out trying to say they have pure breds to make the money.

If the mom and dad were pure bred pits then they would be papered pups and dogs. not to mention that it depends on what the dog was bred for. some dogs have "bully" in them and some are tall and lanky bred for pulling. The dog in this picture of a fawn brindle bred for pulling. As you can see she stands taller than the pits bred for fighting but she also has them out weighed. this dog is 70+ pounds and a papered pit. so people need to get their facts straight before giving people info about a breed they did no research about and know nothing about. ... RE: Dog Won't Let New People in the House
If your still wondering what breed he is; its a pit bull. he might be mixed, but hes definitely got pit in him. The people have to come in and let the dog sniff them down. they can't be nervous or afraid of the dog. The dog can sense it. Don't discipline him for this because hes protecting you and your house. Isn't that what you would want him to do if someone broke into your house? Beautiful dog though. ... View related article.

RE: Aggressive Pit Bull
Pit bulls are NOT pack oriented dogs. They are great dogs but what most people don't realize is that they are bred to fight. They are bred to hog-dog. They are bred to pull. There are different types of pits. If you raise them to be a good dog they will be a good dog. Your dog sees your new house as it's territory. It discovered it. You are the dogs family and that dog is going to protect that house you and your family no matter what. it is going to die for you if it has to. its not trying to be a mean dog. you have to reassure the dog that its ok. don't lock it in a room. the dog will rip the carpet up to get to you. that dog doesn't want you to forget about it. pit bulls are GREAT dogs. You just have to make sure it knows its ok. ... View related article.
