I have been trying out different craft ideas, home decorating tips and home improvement ideas.  I love watching the different TV shows that center on these things.  I am always ready to try something new and have created lots of different crafts, decorating items and have even done home improvements that I have learned.

RE: Freecycle, Petcycle, Tag Sale and Barter Groups
Thank you all for your feedback. By the way, my son and his girlfriend were very surprised and excited when they received the bathroom items for Christmas. They can't wait to get the rest of the pipes, water lines and electric run so they can have their upstairs bath. We had also found a set of french doors smeone had set out by the road for free awhile back, our son just had to go pick them up. ... View related article.

RE: Tables Made from Old Windows
The other thing you could do is build a shallow box the same measurements of your window with no top, put hinges on the window and attach to the box. then you can lay your shells and sand anyway you like and if it gets messed up you can just open the window and rearrange things. or if your daughter's tastes change you can empty it out and put other things in the box. ... RE: Changing Drawer Facing on Bedroom Furniture Set
You can paint them or you can change the hardware or go to a hardware store and get some molding and attach them to the drawer face with small nails in a square or rectangle. Or all three if you are energetic. ... View related article.

RE: Cloth Placemat Area Rug
I had a few other ideas for what the cloth placemats can be used for. You could make Roman Shades, regular shades or curtains for your windows or for a doorway. You could also make it big enough for a blanket for your bed or a tablecloth for your table. And the idea for lap robes was a great idea from Melody_yesterday. ... View related article.

RE: Using Carpet Samples to Carpet Your Room
Tone: I may end up trying this project as an area rug in my new place since I can't find what I want anywhere. If I do, I will be sure to post it on this site so you can get that visual, that is if you haven't already beat me to it. ... View related article.

RE: Using Carpet Samples to Carpet Your Room
Pam: Sorry it took so long to get back to you, I have had a busy couple of weeks. The room if I remember right was 12' wide by 26' long, we don't live there anymore so I had to really think about it. ... View related article.

RE: Using Carpet Samples to Carpet Your Room
Thank you everyone for your comments and praise. We had a lot of fun with this project and the cost was great. You can use anything you can afford or feel comfortable with to secure the squares or make an area rug. The only bad part is that I had to be the one to remove all the bindings. That was a chore but I was able to do that while sitting watching tv or just when I had free time to sit and work on them. Connie, Towanda, PA ... View related article.
