RE: Cleaning Solution for Carpet Cleaner
I've used rug doctor, but what a pain. This time, on my incredibly filthy carpet, in a very large bowl I mixed a solution of ammonia and water. I took a towel and a scrub brush and got down on my hands and knees. The spots came up beautifully. I used the towel to wipe and restore the nap. I don't know about restoring the acid pH, after using the base ammonia. I would take the previous post's recommendations if I were cleaning my persian carpets, but this worked for my standard-issue beige carpet. Now, another thing is that many stains will resurface because the stains are in the mat underneath the carpet; this is where something like a rug doctor would come in handy, or a steam cleaner. However, i am 100% satisfied with my results, and it went very quickly, I didn't have to rent a machine with all the bother that entails. ... View related article.

RE: Laptop Key Not Working
First unplug and reconnect the keyboard - did that help? If not, chances are a good cleaning will solve your problem. Pry off the key (don't worry), clean with a qtip or paperclip tip, use a little solvent, vacuum cleaner, etc to get up the grit and dust. Press the key stalk with your finger - does it work? If so, put the key back on (it should press on). ... View related article.

RE: Cat Doesn't Use Cat Condo
Maybe put a very very soft cushions or bunched up fabric scraps on and in the condo. They like things that have Paw Appeal, something tactile. Make the cat condo IN TERESTING. Tape 4-5" pieces of twine all around the top level. My six cats are not interested in the cat condo, as well. They like to S T R E T C H out and can't really do this on a cat condo. If your top level is circular, consider adding a cushion-y platform on top, instead. Also, try placing the condo under a window, so they can look out the window from the condo. Your son's cat may not like the "new" smell of the condo. The condo is just plain uninteresting to any of the cat's senses. ... View related article.

RE: Mention Disappointments When Eating Out
If there is a problem with the food itself, it is VERY IMPORTANT to let the kitchen know so they can replace the meal right there (portion too small, overcooked, undercooked, spoiled, etc etc). If you phone them the next day, they will say that you should have told them while dining. ... View related article.

RE: Heating Advice For A Drafty Farm House
There is a type of woodstove fuel that is processed, so that wood faggots are not used. This might be easier for her to handle. I can't give you more details, but pls surf the net and I'm sure you'll find it. It might be in pellet or other form. They also burn clean. ... View related article.
