RE: Creative Ways to Serve Fruit
How about anchoring one of your tubes(maybe the middle inedible one) with a long wooden skewer to a platform of Styrofoam and then use toothpicks to decorate it by anchoring(at an angle) grapes, cherries, or other mini pieces of colorful fruit to sort of make a fruit tree? You could even make cantaloupe or watermelon balls or other shapes to add to the color and interest. I think I may give it a try next time I buy a pineapple myself. You could easily decorate the Styrofoam with parsley or other greens or more fruit for that matter. Have fun! Frugal Freida ... View related article.

RE: Craft: Making Christmas Presents From Fabric Scraps
Vicki,
What a wonderful gift idea!! We have done the same for my neices one holiday and then a group of friends got together and made a patchwork quilt using scraps I've received, plus some we all chipped in to buy for a baby quilt for a dear family we were all friends of. Each time we visit, we see that quilt in a prominent place and the baby loves it as well!! An added plus was getting together and sewing in shifts/diff days to accomplish such a wonderful gift!! P.S. I just love the cat!! Frual Freida ... View related article.

RE: Look For Closeouts and Bargains Now
Great ideas, Melody!
BTW, we used last year's lotion 2 weeks ago at the beach and all went fine. No sunburns for my very fair children and husband! And we spent alot of time at the beach on the Outer Banks where each year I'm shocked how hot it is in late Sept. One of my daughters has gotten blisters on her ears in the past, so I say it worked well!!

The candles will especially help with any holiday gifts you may craft such as the candles in the mason jars for luminaries. We just put salt in the bottom, add a few greens, but don't put near the top of the candles, and add a candle. We use the longer matches if needed to light these and they look so pretty on your porch or walkway when guests are coming. We gave them as gifts to friends one year. Frugal Freida ... RE: Cookie Of The Month Present
Karen,
I think this is a great idea!! Also could do a mix of the month or a jar of the month which is similar to a mix only in canning jars. You got my creative juices flowing, Thanks, Frugal Freida ... View related article.
