RE: Am I Damaging My Porcelain Sinks?
Yeah, I think they're supposed to have a shiny finish. You need to buy some coating for it at your local Home Depot or Lowe's. Once you get the new shiny coating back on, limit your sink cleaner to the recommended products at the home stores (or use simple vinegar and water). NO AJAX! Hope this helps. ... RE: Stripping and Re-staining a Table
I tend to go the route of buying good sandpaper. I just sand down the furniture to a smooth finish so the new stain has something to adhere to. It has always worked good for me (and I didn't use any chemical stripping agent). Right before you stain the piece, just quickly wipe it down with turpentine. Good luck! ... View related article.

RE: Mounting Photo Collages
Go to Salvation Army and see if you can buy old, framed artwork (the really big pieces)... Remove the artwork and put in your photo collages or check with your local freecycle networking group (online) and see if someone can donate old framed artwork to you. ... View related article.

RE: Conditioning a Dry Leather Purse
Vaseline works great! Just rub it on and use a dishtowel to wipe it off (Don't rub too hard though). It will soak into the purse nicely and your purse will be shiny, protected, and soft to the touch. ... View related article.

RE: Dealing with Facial Hair
I'm 36 and I have dark sideburns and upper lip and chin hair, too... I shave and pluck because I can't afford the laser treatments. Tweezing can become too tedius -- especially if you have a lot of hair (not to mention it's painful). I think us, women, fixate on this stuff, too much. It seems as we get older, we ALL experience facial hair to some degree. I say just shave it and be done with it (it's quick and relatively painless). ... View related article.
