RE: Opening Craft Pictures
Well, I discovered how to do it myself. You click on the maximize square in the box in the grey field -- then you click on the "back" indicator on the top of the screen. It works but I don't really know why or how I finally discovered it. At any rate, thanks for doing the posting for me and, if anyone else should be having the same problem, I hope this will solve their problem too.

RE: Using It All - Canning Lid Centers
We only have the round solid centers of the Mason jar lids == we don't have the rest of the lid.

RE: Uses for Old T-Shirts
Why don't you donate them to the homeless. They would probably appreciate a nice clean tee shirt. ... View related article.

RE: Inexpensive Gift Sites
You might want to check out the COLLECTIBLES site. Nothing over $14.99.

RE: Pigeons on Air Conditioners
I live in Phoenix and a lot of people put a fake owl on their air conditioner to keep the pigeons away. These are available at Ace Hardware but you can probably find a lot of fake owls around. ... View related article.

RE: Request: Retirement Party & Gift
As a suggestion, how about a small live tree that he can plant in his yard as a long-time remembrance from all of you. You could put bows on the tree if you want that are attached to presents on the table/desk around it. Another suggestion would be season tickets to a play theatre around where he lives. A week's rent on a cabin or, depending on the cash, plane tickets to Vegas. Don't know your boss but thought I would make a few suggestions anyway. ... View related article.

RE: Top Ten Kitchen Gadgets
You are missing one of the "greatest" of all -- a Foley food chopper. It is hand-held and has three small blades that go up and down by a "spring." Hard to explain but it is wonderful. You can chop just everything with it -- onions, tomatoes, nuts, etc. in just a flick of the wrist. I also like it because I can break up the larger pieces of ground beef in a skillet when necessary. Mine is about 20 years old and is falling apart and I haven't been able to find a new one but I am looking!! It is an absolute must in the kitchen!! The spring has now broken in mine and I am still using the blades -- that's how great it is. If someone knows where to locate one of these, I would be forever grateful. I saw something similar one time at a swap meet, bought it and somehow lost the package and have not been able to locate another one. Lori ... View related article.

RE: Request: 30th Anniversary Gift
I would like to add another thought to the 30th anniversary party. You can do a "shotgun" wedding as we have done on other occassions. The best man would carry a "toy shotgun" and deliver the groom to the clergy. Then the bride comes out with her veil on and the rolling pin bouquet. You can also have a "guest book" for your folks to cherish later. ... View related article.

RE: Request: 30th Anniversary Gift
How about a gathering of friends and do a "mock wedding" for them -- sort of like renewing their vows only not done by a clergy. I did one for my folks for their 45th anniversay and was so glad I had because they were looking forward to their 50th and passed away shortly before that time. We made up some comical questions about their life together and then proceeded with the vows. We used a black graduation gown as the clergy robe, a veil made out of a curtain, and a rolling pin with a bouquet attached for the bride. We had a homemade "wedding cake", computer "marriage license" and the neighbors gave them a live tree for planting (as a remembrance) and the tree had white paper doves on them. Each dove had a five dollar bill fanned as a tail on the dove. You can also have some kind of "punch" to toast them. You can expand this idea a lot if you just think about it. Ours went over so well that it even had a writeup in the local paper. We did a lot more things but once you have the idea, I am sure you will come up with ideas of your own.
You could even send out "wedding invitations" to the guests but be sure to tell them that the wedding will be a surprise for your parents -- that's the best part of it!! The will love it!! ... View related article.
