RE: School Sports Uniform Payment Plans
My friend's daughter went out for the basketball team, a few months ago. Upon getting accepted, they were having to scramble for some unexpected cash to pay for the basketball uniform, & just before Christmas, too! The uniform payment plan, was a lifesaver! ... View related article.

Hello Mary,

I got mine at Walgreens drug store. Back by the pharmacy, along the back wall, near the bottom shelf. Hope you can find it, too!

RE: Susan: ThriftyFun Says Goodbye
Our sympathy to Susan's family, the staff of Thriftyfun.com, her friends, etc. We all will miss her terribly. I've not been online for a few days. I'd so hoped her condition was better. Just know she's in a much better place with our Lord.

Keep her legacy going. You're all family to me. God Bless You All.

Sincerely,

Terri Henry

RE: Workplace Christmas Gift Ideas
Myself, I'd rather receive a plate of homemade cookies or homemade candy or flavored instant coffee or teas.

My husband, from work has received a nice mini flashlight. On another occasion, a mini screwdriver set.

Once when helping a pal from church do a home chore, the man wasn't able to do alone, he gave us a bottle of wine. Since we're not drinkers, it made a nice gift to re-gift. ... View related article.

RE: Looking for Recipes to Help Gain Weight
When making smoothies, can put in Cool Whip for a more creamier texture. This can be added to nutritional beverages such as Boost or Ensure, along with chunks of fresh or frozen fruits in a blender, along with a scoop of your favorite ice cream. My brother in law's Dr. suggested this. ... View related article.

RE: Removing Old Scars
You can buy a bottle of Vit. E oil from a health food store. Apply it on your scars every day. After a while, you'll notice your scars diminishing. A friend suggested this to me after having thyroid surgery. I was tired of everyone staring at my neck. Not long after using this oil every day, religiously, my scar started going away. To this day, my scar is hardly noticeable. Best of Luck! ... View related article.

RE: Freeze Leftover Sauce in an Ice Cube Tray
In case you don't have any ice trays, the same thing can be done on a wax paper lined plate, just place the tomato sauce in 1-2 teaspoon dollops, not touching, all over the plate. Freeze & then take the dollops off the wax paper & place in a ziploc bag identified as to what's inside. I've also done this with tomato paste, as well as with canned pumpkin, to be later added to other dishes, like soups and sauces. It works well. ... View related article.
