Use Steel Cans In The GardenOne of the ways I recycle is by burying my steel cans in my garden, I leave the bottoms on and I bury them about 12 in. deep open side up. I fill the canned with compost and then plant above it.

Rose made from dollar bill attached to stem and in vase.

Dollar Bill RoseA single rose is an elegant gift, no matter what the occasion. I have been making these since the early '70s.

Plants with cord wrapped around stem and bamboo stake.

Using Telephone Receiver Cord to Tie Up PlantsI needed to tie up some of my vegetable plants and I'm out of garden twine and string. When I was looking for something suitable that will not break the stems I saw one of my very old receiver cords for the telephone.

Ammonia To Whiten ClothesI found a way to whiten and brighten my clothes without bleach or Oxyclean, which I am allergic to. I take a bucket of approximately 1/2 gallon of very warm to hot water and 1 cup of lemon ammonia.

Glass Bottle Wind Chimes

Bottle Wind ChimesI make the wind chimes out of liquor bottles, wine bottles, and this one happens to be a wine cooler bottle. I use a glass cutter and cut off the bottom. I use a ceramic knife sharpener to smooth the sharp edges. If it has a screw on top, that's a plus.

Recycled Clay Pot Wind Chimes

Recycled Clay Pot Wind ChimesUse up your old scrap pieces of wood and clay pots to create this summer wind chime to enjoy. I used a sailboat theme with an old scrap piece of wood, little clay pots, white nylon cording for strings and added big washers for the chimes.

Coffee Mug Jams

Coffee Mug JamsI have a couple of friends that would like jelly but in a small amount, I started doing this years ago. Whenever I make jelly or jam, I always put approximately 3/4 cup in one of those coffee mugs I would really like to get rid of.

Finished basket decorated and filled with Easter candy.

Paper Bag BasketsDo you need a quick basket for just about anything?

C.C Boy (Candy Cane) The CatC.C. Boy, C.C. is short for candy cane. He is approximately 8 months old. With those blue eyes, there has to be some Siamese in there, the only color he had at 1st was a red-and-white striped tail, and a little bit of color on the ends of his ears.

Cute baby possum.

Baby OpossumA little visitor, he must have fallen off of his mommy's back, I just took the baby boy by the tail, put him in a little box and brought him to the wildlife rehab center.
