Hi. Don't know what yellow candy base chips are. Can you please point me in the right direction? Thanks.

You bet! If you go to Walmart or just about any store that has a wedding section, you will find bags of what are called candy base chips.

Wilton makes a nice line, but they are not the only ones. Michaels Crafts, JoAnnes, and most craft/restaurant supply store has them.

They are quarter sized circles of candy base. It's basically the "base" for most candy, all done up for you. You can get different colors like brown, green, pink, white, yellow, etc.

When the recipe calls for these, you simply weigh out how much they call for. Keep them cool if you can, as they melt faster than regular candy, which is the whole point if you make candy often.

You add the flavoring you want and the other things, and you can make just about any candy that calls for these bases.
They are not much money, and this recipe can make enough for several presents, put in a nice basket or tin.

Even if you are a first timer, you will love this recipe!!

I'd love to try this, but where do you buy the pineapple oil? Or can you use pineapple extract? Thanks!
