  • 1/2 lb. marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Dressing:

  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1 Tbsp. (rounded) flour
  • 6 Tbsp. sugar
  • dash salt

Directions:

Cut up and drain oranges and pineapple. Make dressing in a medium saucepan; combine flour, sugar, salt, and half and half. Cook over medium heat until it boils, but do not scorch. Add half of the marshmallows while the dressing is hot. Stir until frothy and set aside to cool.

Mix fruit with remaining marshmallows, coconut and pecans. Put fruit in a bowl and cover with dressing, but do not mix. Sprinkle with coconut to make snow effect and arrange cherries on top in desired design. Make 2 hours ahead of time. Refrigerate.

What a spectacular sounding dessert. I'll have to try it soon. Sounds like it might be on weight watchers diet too. LOL! Ha! Ha! (07/22/2009)

Bake for 20 minutes. This will rise high and then fall when removed from oven. Cool. Spread whipped topping over baked layer. Drop pie filling over whipped topping like cherries falling in the snow. Cut into servings.
