To provide added adhesion for the final installation of wallpaper. It usually comes in the form of a white powder that is mixed with water according to the manufacturer's instructions. Another form of size is to coat the countertop with a thinned down version of the adhesive that ultimately be used in the installation of the wallpaper. good luck.
