You never know when you will need a change of clothes or a hygiene product. Working in the nursing field, you can run into so many things that can get on your clothing or make you smell bad. I always keep a clean set of clothing, soap, deodorant, toothbrush and toothpaste with me at work. We have washcloths and towels on hand to use as well.
A small bag can hold all your necessities. You can keep them in your vehicle or under your desk. I have my own office so I have no problem storing them. You could also store them in a locker if your business has them.
You may also want to think about having a set of dress clothing in case you need to go somewhere unexpectedly. I have run into this problem twice in one year and am so glad I thought to pack dressy clothes.
So when it all comes down to looking your best and smelling fresh, you do have options. Pack those items and have them on hand for unexpected times where you may need them.

I carried a tote bag with pockets on the outside and on the inside can hold a change of clothes, a change of underwear, a cosmetic bag with makeup, deodorant, personal hygiene items and anything to refresh yourself. The pockets inside the tote bag could hold any medications over the counter or prescription that you would need to take at any given moment, a ziplock bag could hold brush comb, hair products. Each person has individual needs so therefore you would place in this tote bag the items that you would need in order to change clothes, refresh your body (baby wipes, lotions, perfume, etc.) Especially if you are leaving work and going out for the night or having to stay at work or staying after church for the entire day and portion of the night after church service you would have a tote bag that would enable you to not have to return home and change clothes and also for emergency situations especially keeping medications in this bag.
I keep a change of clothes at work. I work in retail. However there are times I have gotten soaked from the rain or get soaked while cleaning something. Also it nice to keep extra clothes in case i get cold during the wintertime. The change of clothes is a great idea and i have a locker to store them.
