If it is polished, then try toothpaste or nail polish remover. Put some on, wait a few minutes, then wipe it off with a wet rag (use hot not cold water).

WD40 worked instantly to remove white permanent marker from my granite sink

Permanent markers may occasionally be obstinate, or the doodling may have been present for days. Hydrogen peroxide and baking soda combined work nicely for this kind of task.
