Oven Rack to Block Dog's Escape Route

We have two small dogs. The smaller dog (terrier/poodle mix) can easily get out of the yard through a gap between the fence and the gate, so we had to do something for her safety. We took a small toaster oven rack and wired it to the gate. Now when the gate is closed, there is no gap for her to escape. It's a solution that has saved us the worry of losing our pet. Our daughter has a small dog, and she has done the same thing in her yard. This works very well for us.
