Wedding Day Survival Kit for the Bride?

Category Planning

I've seen a list somewhere of "needs" to give to a bride before the wedding, a few items were bottled water, snack, deodorant, breath mints, etc. I can't find the list and my son is getting married next week and I'd love to make up a basket for my "new daughter". Can someone help me find this list ASAP as I only have 1 week!

I think it might be a good idea to put in some of those sheets that you dab your skin with to soak in any oil or perspiration. I forget what they are called but you can fing them at any drug store.

Here is a list of must have items that I take with me to each Wedding that I do. Not all items will be appropriate for you; just pick out those that might be needed in your situation. Place all the items you choose to include into a duffle bag or something similar.

This is a great idea. My friend's mom did it for her wedding. Things to include: sewing kit, snacks, bottled water, safty pins, headache medicine, kleenex, and a spare pair of panty hose.

Sharon Rose had quite a complete list! I suggest granola bars for snacks (more substantial than crackers, and easier to pack). Wet wipes of some kind often come in handy...sweaty palms...and they almost got all the lipstick off a wedding dress once!

And definitely bottles of water--that always goes quickly from my bride kits.

I just went to the dollar store and bought 2 of everything and I'm making a basket to put in the room that the bridesmaids will use and and one in the room that the groomsmen will be getting ready in. For about $25, I got just about everything that I could possibly need for both sets of ding-dongs that will be in my wedding (I love them all dearly).

2 First-Aid kits which include alcohol swabs, guaze
pads, assorted bandages, comfort bandage, and
adhesive strip.
shoe shining kit for the guys
milk of magnesia
visine
bobby pins
q-tips
mentos
2 pairs of black socks just in case one of the boys
forgets his
eyelash curler (came in a set with tweezers)

large hand mirrors
hair brush
manicure set (included clippers, comb and small
scissors)
lint brushes
hair spray
10 small packs of kleenex (10 for a dollar)
ibuprofen
emory boards

there are a few items that i'm not going to scrimp on and I'll buy at a regular drug store or provide some upgraded products that I use myself:
deodorant
2 kinds of scented body lotion
clear nail polish
a mending kit
extra thread that resembles cloth in bridesmaid dresses (and mother of the bride dress)
tums or rolaids
lip gloss
chap stick for the boys
concealer
tide-to-go pen
baby wipes
super glue
extra earring backs
3 or 4 different kinds of tape (scotch, duct, clear)
pen and paper
strait pins
tampons and pantyliners
oil reducing pads for face

I'm sure that there are other things i will add but just walking through a store can give you ideas of things you know you will need!!

********DO NOT USE ~tide-to-go pens on any Wedding Dress!!******** the bleached spot will turn into a yellow STAIN!! Only use tide-to-go pens on items you can wash.....

I used the "Tide to go" pen on a woven fabric, washable , white blouse. It left a yellow stain that I could never completely remove. I won't ever use it again!

Wow, wish I knew this when I got married! We went without a hitch, but the oil blotters would have been nice! I would also add that baby wipes make a great shoe cleaner (for leather too) and gives a nice shine!
