Secure your load in the back of your truck with a scroll truck net. A net allows the air to flow through while holding items in place. To make the net, attach netting to two plastic pipes and cap the ends of the pipes. Roll the net up like a scroll and keep it in the back of your truck. It is handy to secure one item or a whole load.

Do you fill the pipe with something to weigh the pipes down?
We do not have anything in the pipes to weight it down and it works just fine for our needs. This net has been in the back of our truck for probably 5 years now and has show no sign of deterioration. We use it all the time.
Litter blowing out of truck beds is a problem everywhere. Another way to secure the load is to put your loose items in a trash container and secure the top with a bungee cord. The lid will not blow off and the empty container will not blow out if the lid is secured with the bungee cord.
A bungee cord across the lid of your trash container is also a good way to keep animals from getting into your trash.
Polly, I'm glad you asked that question. My husband used wood screws and screwed them through the net and into the pipes using his electric drill. He placed a washer between each screw head and the net. The screws are about 7 inches apart. I took a picture to post with this feedback.
We are still using the same net and it's been in the truck in all the weather for about 10 years and is still not showing signs of deterioration except for a little rust on the screws.

With the use of bungee cords, this net can easily be used to cover a large load or it can be rolled out just a little to cover one small item that might blow out the back of your truck.
This is an old post but still a great idea. We have had our net in the back of our truck, which is out in the weather, 19 years now. It is beginning to show some wear where it is attached to the pipes but it still works good as new.
I wish every truck and trailer had a net like this for securing items so they will not blow out. Our roads would be much safer and much cleaner.
