Hawaiian macaroni salad

1 med. onion diced small
1 can crushed pineapple drained
1 cup mayonaise
1 16oz box pinwheel macaroni cooked and drained
1 can shrimp

Mix all ingredients and chill.

Chicken Hawaiian Salad
16ox can chunked pineapple drained
1 1/2 cups cooked cubed chicken
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup green grapes halved
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

1/4 cup thawed orange juice concentrate
salt to taste

Combine all ingredients and toss
chill well before serving

Hawaiian Bread
3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 t soda
3 eggs
1 cup crushed pinapple with juice
1 1/2 cup oil
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
combine dry ingredients mix liquid ingredients
pour into dry ingredients mix well until moist.
Bake in a greased tube pan for 40-45 min in a 350 drgree oven

Hawaiian Banana nut bread
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup chopped nuts
4 bananas mashed
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon soda
cream butter and sugar
add eggs, nuts/ bananas, flour and soda. Bake in a greased tube pan for 50-60 min at 350 degrees

Hawaiian Chicken Party Wings

5 pounds chicken wings, separated
1 8 oz jar apricot preserves
1 8 oz bottle Russian dressing
1 package dry onion soup mix

Mix preserves, dressing, and soup. Mix well. Wash and pat dry wings. Dip wings in sauce and place on foiled line cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes. Turn and baste with sauce. Bake 20 minutes longer.

Hawaiian Coleslaw

4 cups shredded cabbage
1 11 oz can mandarin orange sections
1 cup crushed pineapple
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 Tbsp. orange juice
1/4 tsp. white pepper
1/2 cup mayonnaise

Put shredded cabbage in large bowl. Drain oranges. Drain and measure out 1 cup crushed pineapple. Add salt and spices to cabbage, toss lightly. Add the drained fruit tossing with a fork. Stir in mayonnaise. Chill.

Kalua Pig in a slow cooker

1 6 pound boston butt
1 1/2 tsp. Hawaiian sea salt
2 Tbsp. liquid smoke

Pierce pork all over with large fork. Rub salt then the liquid smoke all over meat. Place in a slow cooker and cover cook for 16 - 20 hours on low, turning once during cooking.

Remove and shred add drippings as needed. If you can't find Hawaiian sea salt, use regular sea salt

Hawaiian Dessert

2 cups crushed pretzels
3/4 cup melted butter
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 8 oz cream cheese softened
1 cup sugar
1 can crushed pinapple drained
2 cup cool whip
1 large strawberry jello
2 cups water
2 boxes frozen strawberries

Mix first 3 ingredients and spread in a 9x12 pan. Bake for 8 minutes at 400 degrees F. Cool. Mix cream cheese, sugar, pineapple, add cool whip. Mix and spread on crust. Next combine strawberry jello and water, add frozen strawberries. Stir until thickened then pour on top of other layers. Chill

Hawaiian Ham and Swiss Wraps

1 lb deli ham chipped or sliced
1 lb swiss cheese sliced
1 head lettuce shredded fine
1 16 oz container whipped cream cheese

1 jar pineapple preserves
8 honey wheat flour tortillas

Combine cream cheese and pineapple preserves. Spread on each tortilla. You can just spread cream cheese over tortilla then gently pour preserves over cream cheese. Place some ham and cheese over each cheese spread top with lettuce and roll to tightness. Cut wrap into thirds if serving as a finger sandwich

Hawaiian Style Chicken Wings

48 chicken wings seperated
1 cup soy sauce
3/4 cup finely chopped green onions and tips
3/4 cup brown sugar
4 Tbsp. salad oil
3 cloves garlic crushed
2 tsp. fresh ginger grated

Mix all ingredients except chicken. Add chicken and marinate at least 2 hours. Line a shallow baking pan with foil. Place wings and bake at 350 for 20 minutes, take out. Turn wings, pour balance of marinade over wings and bake 30 minutes longer. Can be served hot or cold.

Rainbow Punch
yield: 12 cups
1 can (46 oz) unsweetened pineapple
1 can (46 oz) orange juice, chilled
1 pint lime sherbet
1 pint orange sherbet

1 pint raspberry sherbet
1 bottle (32 oz) ginger ale, chilled


Combine juices in punch bowl. Add scoops of sherbet. Pour ginger ale over sherbet.
