Homemade Rust Remover

I haven't tried this tip, but I read about it in the local paper. If you have rust on a bumper, just wad up some aluminum foil and pour some cola on the bumper. Rub with the foil, it should remove it. You can also use cola on your car windows. If you have a build up of road grease or oil on it, it will help get it off. (Don't use the foil on the windows!)

Tin foil will remove rust from a bumber without the cola, but remember, this in only a temporary fix.
Be sure not to get any cola on the paint if you use it to clean your car windows as it will remove the paint.

If you need to remove rust from chrome, wipe it with aluminum foil dipped in Coke. If you just need to polish the chrome, use a crumbled up piece of aluminum foil and rub.

Maybe, but plain soda water is better. see Snopes.com on this part of a long list of supposed uses for Coke
