Interlibrary LoansWhen my library doesn't have a book I'm interested in reading, I ask the librarian if it can be ordered through interlibrary loan. My library finds the book in another library, which loans it to my library, which loans it to me. This also works well to preview a book I might be interested in buying. By Lynn

Birds As A Bad Weather PredictorWe feed the wild birds. We can tell when it clouds up a bit outside if bad weather is headed our way or not, by the way the wild birds are eating. If it appears that every bird in the county is there eating or waiting their turn to eat from your feeders ...

Homeowners Insurance DiscountsMake sure you are getting all of the discounts you are entitled to, on your homeowners insurance. Most companies give discounts for deadbolt locks, smoke alarms, non-smokers (you are less likely to burn down the house!), and of course a central alarm system. Some companies will even give a discount for motion-detector outside lights.

Gnats In Room With Guinea Pigs?I have guinea pigs and I gave them some pineapple about 2 wks. ago. I started getting gnats and was using a flying pest spray on them. I would spray the entire room after removing my piggies and let it sit closed for an hour or so. Well, no more pineapple since my piggies don't eat it but my gnat problem has increased about 10 times more than before. How do I get rid of these annoying things w/out harming my piggies and how can I prevent it.

Decorating a Tanning Salon (Mexican Theme)?I have hit a decorating dead end. I own a tanning salon and I am in the process of adding another room for airbrush tanning. So because of the solution overspray situation I need to stick with a dark color. I have decided to go with a Mexican theme. Dark brown (terra cotta) color or green walls? I've already purchased some Mexican theme wall prints. I'm not sure if I should texture paint the walls. I also need some ideas for more unique decorating ideas to pull the theme together. The room is 9'-10' w/no windows. Thank you in advance for any replies Sunchic
