A photo album pieced together with scraps of fabric.

Patchwork Photo AlbumWhen you open a photo album, all the warmth of a family's history is poured out on each page. All those precious memories tucked inside a generic photo album from a super store seems a little ironic. Sure, they say it's what's inside that counts, but a nice presentation is nothing to scoff at.

Doubling a Congealed (Jello) SaladWhen preparing a congealed salad recipe (using jello or gelatin), all ingredients can be doubled except: salt, vinegar, and lemon juice. For these use only 1 1/2 times the given amount, but no more, or your salad won't congeal.

Continuing Your EducationI'm one of those people that dropped out of school then went back to school and college in my 40's. It was great, but I would have rather been educated the old fashion traditional way like Most people.

Everything You NeedOk now, Just admit it. You don't have everything you want, but you have everything you NEED. Use a grocery list and stick to it. Sell what you don't need, either in an ad, yard sale or over the net. Bartering is fun and a lot of people are anxious to do it.

Tortilla Chip SaladI apologize if this has already been requested or posted before. I went to a church on the grounds dinner and there was a salad there that was so delicious. I tried to find out who made it and the name, one person told me that she thought it was called Dorito Salad but was not really sure. It had tortilla chips, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, ranch style beans (I think!) and French dressing. I would love the recipe or any version.

Getting Involved in Your CommunityThere are a lot of clubs that contribute to the community. Kiwanis, Lions, I could go on and on. All of them should be recognized more. If you're not clubby and you want to contribute to your community, write letters to the editor about what your community needs to concentrate on.

Old-Fashioned Apron?I'm looking for an old-fashioned apron. You know, the kind your grandmother (or in my case, great aunt) wore. It went over the head and tied in the back. It was long enough to cover down to your knees. It often had pockets but not always. I think they were made of cotton and were sometimes ruffled at the neck and bottom. Any help would be appreciated.
