Best Beef BrisketSprinkle beef with seasoned salt and pepper. In a Dutch oven, brown beef in oil on both sides. Remove and set aside. In drippings, saute onions and garlic until tender.

 

Turkey JerkyI have just dehydrated a batch of turkey jerky. Amounts are per 1 1/2 lbs. ground turkey. The recipe can be multiplied.

 

Homemade Cough SyrupThis tastes bad, but it works. Boil 1 cup unsulphered molasses for 5 minutes. Add 1/4 cup cider vinegar. Simmer mixture 5 more minutes.Add 1/2 of a small onion, raw and diced to the pot. Stir and remove from heat.

 

English Beans on ToastThis recipe is a sort of quick rendition of a meal that my friend's wife said they ate all the time growing up in England.

 

Chocolate Cake With Peanut Butter IcingHeat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine all ingredients in a big bowl and mix thoroughly. (Batter will be thin.) Pour into a well-greased 9 x 13 inch pan and bake for 35 minutes or until done. Cool and add icing.
