My Frugal Life: I Can't Find Enough to Do!That seems to be my motto lately and I don't have the slightest idea why; not until my husband came home from his cardiac rehab last week, that is.

Hyacinth

Scenery: Hyacinth (WA)I live in South Central Washington State which is a desert area. The courtyard of my apartment complex is really nice with a swimming pool, a man made creek, and a couple of purple desert cherry trees, pine trees, and some wild rose bushes.

Weigh Yarn to Ensure You Have EnoughSince I am so thrifty that I purchase all my yarn at thrift stores, I don't usually get full skeins. After being disappointed by running out of yarn during a project, I finally pulled out my food scale and now I weigh my yarn to make sure I have enough for my project.

Easter Mobile - finished

Craft Project: Easter MobileSometimes everyday items become so "every day" that one doesn't take notice of them. I began to save them and in less than a week, I had a bag full. It struck me that they would make great frames for photos and already came in several different colors.

Photo of a recycled window craft.

Window Picture FrameUpcycle an old wood window into a wonderful outdoor picture frame.

Burning BushThis past fall the burning bush did well. It took a year or two to get so pretty. The first year I was disappointed, but the wait was worth it.

Picture of sharpening scissors with aluminum foil.

Sharpen Your Scissors With Aluminum FoilFor an easy way to sharpen scissors, fold a piece of aluminum foil three or four times, then cut through it several times with your scissors.

Teach Children That Abuse Is Not A Sign Of LoveI am sure you will be able to picture this scene quite easily: Little Anna is playing with her friends during recess at school. Little Billy runs up to her and pushes her, and runs off laughing.

Product Review: San Tech Hydro-Sil Baseboard HeaterBeware of this heater! This is our second try with it and our last. The first one lasted 2 years and the switch burned up! We had to pay postage and shipping to return it. They did send a new one and it took forever.

Flag (Las Vegas, NV)Interesting view as the plane appears to be heading right for the flag. This photo was taken in Las Vegas.

pink azalea plant

Garden: AzaleasWhen we moved into our house last fall, we had no idea that the huge overgrown bushes along the driveway, were this beautiful in the spring. I'm so glad we decided to wait to trim them, until we saw them for a full season.

Candle Earring HolderOrganize and decorate at the same time with post earrings! I have purchased inexpensive scented pillar candles, not to burn, but to use as a "holder" and display of my post earrings.

Swallowtail Butterfly

Garden: Black Swallowtail ButterflyThis beautiful black swallowtail butterfly was stuck on my screen this morning, when I got up and opened the blinds. I went outside and took his picture before rescuing him. Swallowtails are attracted to phlox, milkweed and Queen Anne's lace.

Scenery: Grand Tetons (Idaho)This photo turned out so beautiful I just had to share it. Taken from the Idaho side, going north toward Yellowstone and looking east toward Wyoming. I am so blessed I get to see this at least once a week.

Raised Beds Using Cardboard BoxesThis year I want to try raised beds in my garden, but I don't want to spend any money on purchasing the wood necessary to make them, plus all the work involved. So I came up with this idea - why not use cardboard boxes from the grocery stores?
