I have one and it works very well.

1 C ammonia
1/2 C white vinegar
1 gallon of water
1 drop of blue food coloring (optional)

Mix together and pour some in a spray bottle and keep the rest in a gallon jug. This can also be used as a multipurpose cleaner around your home. Good luck!

I don't even bother with the ammonia. Just mix equal parts of water and distilled vinegar and the glass will be just as clean. If the windows, or mirrors, are not really dirty I just use 1/3 vinegar to 2/3 water.

A trick for streak less windows with little effort is to never wash them when the sun is shining on them ;-)

This is what I use:

1 pint water
½ C rubbing alcohol
1 T ammonia
1 or 2 drops blue food coloring (optional)

I like this formula because it doesn't have the strong ammonia smell
but still does a great job cleaning glass.

You can also use Windshield cleaner. It's cheap and works great!

Do not mix vinegar (an acid) and ammonia (a base) as they will neutralize each other out.
