Clean Your Coffeemaker Tank

When cleaning out your coffee maker, look inside your water tank. It will fill up with scum, so wipe it out often, or you will be drinking it.

To save yourself the chore of cleaning the coffemaker's tank, leave the lid open on the coffeemaker when it's not in use. This allows the area that holds the water to dry out. I never have a problem with gunk using this method. It doesn't hurt to clean the machine with vinegar every month or so. The directions tell you how to do it.
