My female finch laid an egg, and she was on the nest constantly. Now it's hatched, and neither she or the male have not been in the nest. Is this normal? And if not, what do I do?

So sorry for your loss. I understand how sad you must feel. No amount of intervention can save the egg for its maturity and hatching.
