How long does it take for the baby goldfish to grow into full grown fish?

I have two goldfish who laid eggs and 1 of them hatched. How long does it take for the baby goldfish to grow into full grown? I already put the older fish into a new tank but I want to know how long it will be.

I wouldnt put baby fish into a tank with mature fish until they are almost the size of the larger fish. Be sure to provide a place for the little ones to hide. Some type of plant ..real or plastic, will do the trick. If you introduce them too early, the mature fish will eat the younger ones.

Gold fish are actually carp. They'll grow to about 18inches long.. Fish are kept smaller by keeping them in a smaller tank. I've seen goldfish in a pond and they're quite beautiful to behold.. (smile) But you'd be surprised at how large they can get! I dont believe they can over winter in cold climates. I"m not sure about that... so I wouldnt put them outside until you made sure.

I have an outdoor small pond. I live in MI. My goldfish winter over in the pond. I have about a dozen babies from last year and the adult pair just laid eggs. I have just the male and female fantails. I have had no problems.

The pond freezes, but this doesn't seem to bother them. The babies are swimming and eating and are about 1 1/2" long. They eat the algea and whatever nature provides. I do not feed them often.

Yes it is unusual but my daughters went to a local fair ground when they were 10,& 12, and won 4 goldfish throwing a ring over a bottle. Brought them home and put them in a large bucket (thinking they would be like the others and die within a few days (previous experiences) I went to the local pet shop about a week after and brought a starter pack.

Tank, food, stones etc. They outgrew the tank so they were transferred to the pond in the garden: 13 years later they are all still alive and thriving plus continue to grow: the largest one is about 7 inches long. No signs of giving up yet.

Have a 6 foot round pond with 8 goldfish and now 17 babies that are about one inch long. the large fish are around 6 inches and there seem to be no problem between the two sizes. feed them early in the morning.Pond is 32 inches deep with filters. For my first pond, all is well.

I have a goldfish that someone won at a carnival and let me have...I have him living in a little 2.5 gallon tank, so sorry for him but I cannot afford a larger one and I would rehome him to a pond but I don't know anyone with a fish pond(or a pond at all). Yes I know that he should really be in a 10 gal at least but he is only nine months old and about 2.5 inches long at the most. I will continue to upgrade him as he grows...I recently moved him from a 1.5 gal to this tank, it's so much better for him.

Hopefully one day he will live in a much larger tank but for the moment Juneau is fine, is under careful surveillance for fin rot(he's had it before), and seems to be doing all right considering that everyone else I know who won a goldfish no longer has one as they all died a while ago! Sad story but...
