Overwintering Potted Evergreens?

If you have an idea where they're going to eventually be planted, I'd encourage you to plant them in the fall or even now if you have a way to keep them well-watered for the rest of the summer. Shrubs really do well when planted in the fall. They put more energy into developing good strong roots instead of pushing out foliage. If you can't plant them, you could try putting them in a protected area outside and "bury" them in potting soil or heavy mulch all around the pot, but don't have them in full sun if you're leaving them in the pots.

It wouldn't be a good idea to keep them inside - they can take the cold, but not dry indoor heat or lack of natural light. Hope this helps and your little evergreens survive for many years!
