I would be very gentle. Use a soft brush to dust them, a makeup brush or large paintbrush would work. If they need more cleaning than just dusting, you could spray them with a mild soap and water combination. The major concern is making sure the wires don't get rusty so you might want to use a hair dryer to make sure they are entirely dry.
