Cutting Nylon Rope

After cutting nylon rope, heat the edges with a lighter. It will keep the ends from fraying. For hemp rope, take a little duct or electrical tape and wrap around the end.

Just a word of warning from someone who was dumb enough not to think about it first! Be sure and do this over a table with something to protect it and not just standing up or sitting down over your lap!
