Beets Orange

Ingredients:

• 3 cups canned sliced beets
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 2 Tbsp. flour
• 1/4 tsp. salt
• 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
• 1 tsp. grated orange rind, fresh

• 2 Tbsp. butter
• 1 pinch fresh nutmeg

Directions:

Place sliced beets in buttered baking dish that has tight fitting cover. Combine sugar, flour, salt and orange rind in small bowl and mix together thoroughly. Add orange juice and melted butter. Stir until smooth, pour over beets and toss lightly. Bake in preheated 350 degrees F oven for 15 minutes or until bubbly. Sprinkle orange rind on top just before serving.
