Trading Leftovers with Neighbors

Most of us have leftovers. Few of us have families willing to eat them. Turn your leftovers into a "new" meal. Make sure you've cooked a double batch, then trade your leftovers with a neighbor who has also cooked a double batch. Each family gets a NEW leftover meal.

I'm a big fan of freezing leftovers. I make them into 1 or 2 person portions and shrink wrap them. If it is a saucy item, I freeze it in a container first then shrink wrap it without the container once it's frozen. Same with bread or fruit, if it will collapse, freeze it first then shrink wrap. Leftovers make great TV dinners later. Very often i make extra grilled chicken breasts' then freeze them two at a time for another dinner later, just pop them in the microwave or even boil-in-bag. Since I've had a deep freeze, I always have some kind of meals I can heat up quickly.
