Donate Partial Spools of Thread

I do a lot of sewing and quilting, which means I use a lot of thread. When the spool only has a little thread left on it, it is not worth putting on the sewing machine, as it will be gone after a few stitches. I save these almost empty spools and give them to my senior friends. Often they want to do a little mending or sew on a button, and buying a new spool for one small job is too expensive for them.

My spools give them a good color selection and just enough thread to do a small job. Remember to jot down the color number so you can replace the spool for yourself when you are shopping.
