I have mahogany in my living room and can not change it. It's built into the brickwork (shelving, etc.) and my stair case. I want to decorate and would like some paint color ideas to go with the mahogany woodwork.

You are lucky, most light colors will go with mahogany, good luck.
We have mahogany/walnut stained trim and warm earth tone colors on the walls - sage, desert tan. I say go medium to light on the walls so the trim stands out.
