Finishing Quilt Squares for Mounting?

I want to mount squares from an old quilt in a shadowbox frame and I am not sure how to finish the edges of the squares. I am cutting up an old quilt. Thanks.

If you know how to finish a cushion you can do the same with quilt squares. Turn the edges inward, sew it together, good luck.

If that good advice is too bulky, simply sew them flat with a single basting stitch, then run some lace or rickrack back over that stitch in regular gauge. You can also go for a country touch and zigzag it and leave the edges raw.

Or, sew country buttons along that raw edge. You can also whip stitch it with yarn for the ultimate country look. Good Luck!
