Disinfecting a Doll?

How do I sanitize a Madeline (battery operated) doll? It is all cotton with a rubberized head and synthetic hair. The doll isn't dirty, but it was given to me for my 5 yr old granddaughter. Is there a disinfectant type spray that I can use?

When I worked at a daycare center, we disinfected just about everything with Lysol disinfectant spray.

Just mix a dilute bleach mixture, read on the label how much bleach to how much water, and rub doll down with a moist cloth.

Put the doll into a sealed plastic bag and place in the freezer overnight.this will get rid of any lingering ''germs''

I agree with putting in the freezer, great for stuffed animals big or small.

This doll has a battery pack inside the stuffed body. I'm afraid putting doll in freezer will damage the talking mechanism.

I also question using the Lysol spray on the clothing & cotton fabric hands, legs, & body. Will it discolor or leave stains?
