Sell Your Old Books Online

Silver Post Medal for All Time! 263 Posts

Here's a website, two of my friends have used to sell books, where they pay you for the books they want. You go to the website and enter the ISBN number of the book (like UPC). It tells you if they can use it or not.

They pay higher than you might make if you'd sold them at a yard or garage sale. They pay by PayPal and even pay the shipping charges. Have any books laying around, just gathering dust?

I sell books on Half.com and send them directly to the buyers. PayPal pays me 2x a month. It's an eBay business and is secure.

They don't accept paperback fiction and a long list of other kinds of books. They buy mostly technical books and recent textbooks.

If you are looking to pass on some of your books (not sell them), then check out BookCrossing:

Thanks for the tip, I have way too many books. Now that site is 'bookmarked'!

I use both cash4books and
http://www.sellbackyourbook.com
This way I get the most possible per book just by checking them back and forth. I will open notepad and type in my list of ISBN's, one on each new line, then paste them into sellbackyourbook.com and then into cash4books.

Then whoever pays more gets the books! Glen

You might want to be careful before you sell those old books some books are quite valuable like Stephen Kings dark tower book set especially the ones written by grant publisher the set can bring in about a few thousand dollars and any Dean Koontz books written under his pseudo name Deana Sawyer are worth over a thousand.

You can make better money selling them yourself on Amazon. There's a bunch of e-books and stuff that will tell you how, but this blog has a lot of good info, plus its free!

I think that when you decide to sell your books online you should get quotes from a number of book buyback sites.
