Shaving cream is a wonderful and cheap way to get kids squeaky clean. Most of the time with a coupon you can get a can very cheap and sometimes free (Walgreens this week - free). Anyway, what you do is have the child hold out their hands and put a pretty large amount in each hand. Let them play. This will even get under their nails.

It should have been to use to clean their entire bodies. While they are in the tub put a large blob onto their hands and let them play with the foam.
Its great for cleaning senior citizens too! Sometimes they fear getting the tub or shower. Freshens 'em right up.
When I was a pre school teacher I let the kids "paint" the tables with cheap shaving foam. We did this every friday and the room was left with clean tables and a nice smell.
I love this tip and will use it when my grandkids visit. I think it would be a great hand soap in any bathroom for kids and adults alike. Thanks for posting.

And for a quick & easy way to entertain bored kids from toddlers to preteens, try this:
Give each child a can of cheap shaving cream. (Less than $1 each.) Put a cheap vinyl tablecloth on any big table, indoors or out, (I loved using a picnic table.) and let the kids play-they can fingerprint designs in the cream, build castles with it, bring other toys like match box cars & Barbies, into it for more complex games, and can even use it on themselves, like their face, arms, head. A quick rinse with a garden hose or dip in the baby pool on hot days, or in the shower, or "bath-time" for toddlers, & you & the kids are clean & happy. You can also let them spray & play with the shaving cream in a dry bathtub. They'll "fingerprint" with it all over the walls, etc.
You'll need to spray the cream for any kid too young to do it alone; I used to just spray the whole can onto the table in front of the kid. They can't wait to dive in! Use only toys that can be washed with water, of course. Time this activity before shower/bath time. And you obviously can't use this activity with any toddlers too young to be trusted not to eat it.
My 4 kids, now young adults, still happily remember how much fun they had with this, especially when they had cabin fever. I swear that in winter, especially over holiday break from school in Dec, we spent hours & hours every day in the bathtub or at a table full of shaving cream! Sigh...such happy memories. They plan to use it with their own kids someday. LOL.
