Christmas Wreath Cake

Sift together:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Mix together:

  • 1/2 cup whole candied cherries
  • 1/2 cup diced candied pineapple
  • 1 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Cream together:

  • 1 -8 oz. package cream cheese
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1 /2 tsp. vanilla

Add 1 at a time and beat well after each addition;

  • 4 eggs

Blend in sifted dry ingredients. Fold in fruit and nut mixture. Pour into a 10 inch tube cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour and 10-15 minutes. (Ovens vary in heat so check)
