Ink from Plastic Bag Transferred onto Washer Top?

The ink from a plastic bag melted onto my washer top. How can I get it off?

Melted? If you have plastic melted onto the metal, use a plastic scraper or credit card to remove the plastic without scratching the paint surface then try using "polishing compound" from an auto parts store. Follow the directions on the bottle taking care to rub & polish lightly so as to not rub off the paint. (This is an abrasive, so don't scrub!) Follow up with car wax for a perfect shine. Try one of the magic eraser products. Just rub gently and it should come off!

Take a qtip, your nail polish without acetone and wipe away. Works when you melt the bread bag to the toaster, get the ink on the counter from what ever.
