Brutus is my 1 1/2 year old German Shepherd/Siberian Husky Mix. Some people found Brutus last January abandoned in a park when he was about 7 weeks old. They came into the pet store where I was working to find an adoption agency for him as they couldn't keep him. I took him home with me that same night!
Brutus loves his tricky treat ball and playing with his rope toys. "Mom calls it fetch, I call it keep away." says Brutus. He loves children and and his stuffed animals and play dates with his buddy Bear.
Brutus is my first dog and my best friend. He's smart, protective yet loving and still a crazy puppy at times! My constant companion, we are even looking into pet friendly vacations so he can come with us!

In the past, we took in a dog someone found that was half husky and half shepherd, and about the same age as Brutus when you took him in. She was the best dog. I couldn't believe how lucky we were to have had her--she was the smartest dog, and she had a wonderful temperment too.
Your Brutus is beautiful!! I'm so glad you adopted him. I, too, took in a pup my son found in a car at about 7 weeks of age. And like you, I live in Saugerties, NY. Love him always and he'll stay your best friend.

this is my german sheperd/ siberian husky hes alot bigger now this is win i first got him hes 6 months now and weighs 70 pounds big boy lol i remember when he could fit in my arms and was lite as a feather
Oh my god those eyes are so beautiful. I love huskies and brother likes German shepherds. Did you know Huskies are not from Alaska they are from Russia (Siberia).German shepherds are from Germany.

Nice, I have a German shepherd and husky with a medium coat. I had dogs for a number of years, but I'm going to get a couple of books and try and educate myself a bit about this cross, as I'm having recall issues and lead pulling issues I would appreciate any advise on these issues.
Luna is a german shepherd husky mix I found running the streets, she was malnourished and hungry so I took her in and she's been my best friend since, she's very intelligent and both of my fav breeds, she defends us when we need her to and she loves everyone wants she gets to know them. She's an excellent dog and great with my two chiuahuahs and my two young kids.
