Ideas for a Slogan and Website to Advertise a Beauty Salon?

I am starting a web site for my beauty salon and would like any helpful hints anyone has. I am interested in anything from catchy slogans to ideas on how to make it interesting. I would like to attract more customers also.

Google "hairstyling salon websites" and you will find oodles of ideas from dozens of salons including salons in the UK. Also, once you have your website up and running be sure to have the link printed on your business cards. ;-)

You could try adding an "Ask a Stylist" Q and A to your site or do a monthly description of one of the services your salon offers in detail. Riddles and jokes are fun too. Just Google hair jokes etc.

Add a guest book so you can see who visits and use any comments to improve the site. As for slogans, maybe something like : Our only affair is hair or satisfaction guaranteed or hair cheerfully refunded.

If it were me, I'd use the slogan people already know. That'll help them make the connection between the shop and website. Same goes for imagery and text style. You might want to feature photos of a few of your successes on your website. Perhaps you could ask satisfied regulars to give a short testimonial you could include.

You could scatter these throughout the site or give them their own separate page. Oh, and please remember to include your physical address and phone, and info such as your hours prominently. Best to you!

If you live near a community college, you might get some free site design and web marketing from college students, since they're always looking for projects.

When you get your business cards done, offer free services to business owners in your area, in exchange for handing out some business cards. People will always notice when someone's changed their hairstyle, and it will be the perfect opportunity to show off your talents and build your business.

There are tons of ways to advertise a local business online, free. You can Google and find local business directories to add your salon, like Merchant Circle and Yahoo Local. You could also start a blog on your site to feature new products and styles and attract attention. Social marketing is another great way to find local customers - start a Facebook page or Twitter account for your business. Best of luck! :)

Add photos of real clients. Offer a free salon service in exchange for permission to use their image. Add the latest fashion trends and update the photos regularly. Testimonials are nice, also. I like thrifmeg's idea of Q and A.
