How do you take off the beautiful golden threads on white corn after you take the husk off?

When you first shuck the corn you take and divide the silks and the shucks in half at the same time. Then pull down ward. That should take care of most of the silks.

To remove any little silks, rub the cob down with a dry paper towel/or a dry tea towel. Works very well!

I do what deebomb does and then rub the stubborn ones off with my fingers under water in the sink.

Remove corn silk by rubbing a damp paper towel over the husked corn.

Wearing rubber gloves on your hands also works. (08/19/2005)

Removing Corn Silk

You don't need anything else to get rid of corn silk. Just hold one hand at the end of the ear and the other around the middle and just twist the ear. Run your hand down the whole ear and the silk will come right off. (08/19/2005)
