Use A Hand Sander On Your Feet

This is a beauty tip for taking care of your feet while avoiding the expense. Getting dead skin off your feet is difficult but those aids you buy simply don't do the job.

Just get a small hand sander. They are cheap and it is worth it. Buy some high grade sandpaper, the stronger the better. Simply affix to the sander and sand away all the dead skin. I would love sell my idea to spas, but no one has caught on as yet. Oh well.

Less time, less energy, you will certainly appreciate the look and feel of your feet. Please remember that as u try this process and the feel of the sander, you will get the hang of it. Let me know if you like it.

I just use an emery board. The rough side works best.

Along with the largest and roughest emery board (or nailfile) that I can find, I have also used the paint sanding blocks. These are great as they are usually coarse sandpaper glued over a foam block, and can be rinsed clean and reused when you are finished scrubbing your feet. I keep these in the shower, and scrub while showering. Works a treat!

I recently used fine sandpaper on the bottom of my feet,
the best pedicure I ever had.
It was inexpensive and effectful.
My feet feels like a baby's bottom.

I use a handheld orbital sander that is used for like woodworking. I use coarse then finer sandpaper and it takes off in minutes what takes all day by hand. Just have to be careful not to apply too much pressure and keep it moving around. I am a man and my feet are smoother than any girls that I have ever felt.

I just used a black & decker Fs500 120v sander for my heals. I get a lot of hard skin on my heals and decided to use my electronic sander. I did both feet in under 5 mins and also got a free foot massage at the same time, it make your feet tingle, never done this before but now i have and my heals are smooth. I will do this one every 3 or 4 weeks and see how it goes, if you do use the 120v sander, Do Not Apply Too Much Pressure just hold it agented your heals and move it around for 2 1/2 mins then do the other heal in the same manner. Hope it helps as it has done so for me.

Great idea. I sent hubby to get a sander and he came back with a disposable sanding block. It's like a hand-sized eraser shape made of a foam material, but with sandpaper texture on all surfaces. It worked great. Thanks for the inspiration!

This is a great tip but, the dryness continues or sometimes gets worse. What I did after first sanding the rough skin off my feet is rub vaseline (best) or any other moisturizer of choice and put on some socks and wear it all night long and you will find that your feet are so soft and moisturized like a new babes skin.

You can also do this with your hands. use cotton gloves. also, don't ever shave hard skin--it just grows thicker (experience taught me that) good luck

Home Depot has this hand cream for men Working Hands in the green round container it's for calluses. Its about 10 bucks. Walmart sells it but it doesn't have the same texture as the one at Home Depot.

I love this tip. Women after menopause usually get the extreme dry hard skin on the feet as we stop producing as much body oil. I have been trying everything and this sound like the best idea.

BTW, NEUTROGENIA is THE BEST product for feet. I have no interest in the company other than a very satisfied customer. Karen

I tried a few months ago. Saves you hundreds in pedicure fees. Surprised
more people haven't caught on yet!

I tried the hand sander a few months ago. The best thing I've done so far. Saves a bundle on pedicures!

I stopped getting pedicures because I figured I can do better for less.
After pumice stones and emery boards didn't have any effect, I tried electric devices like Emjoi and As Seen On TV callus removers. While these are good, they aren't great and they're awful time-consuming.

I am now deciding to amp it up with a power sander. I've read many comments here and everywhere online that this is the best option. So I'm looking forward to my next at-home pedicure especially as warmer weather approaches.
I suppose it's important to not overdue the sanding. I will start with a fine grade sandpaper and try once a month.

What sand paper for callus on feet

I have used a "Mouse" Black and Decker hand sander for as least 10 years; it produces great results and is small enough to manage. It has a velcro-type sanding attachment, just choose the grit best for you. Use for a few minutes about every other day in the summer and you'll be very happy. The sander is shaped like a small iron so it's easy to keep in the bathroom... or use it outside.

So I went out today and bought a detail sander at Home Depot. I had this idea when my boyfriend used it on me about 2 years ago. I have done pedicures...they burnt the bottom of my feet with chemical...that was nice. Then I spent $60 a visit to my podiatrist who used a razor and cut the callus away. That hurt. So I'm done. Its a triangle shaped detail sander. I used the fine grid first. Not strong enough, Yes I have UGANDA feet. So I went to the Medium and Voila!!! My feet look great. $30 Home Depot, foot cream!

I used a good quality sand paper grit 120, and cut them in small strips and folded them I can't believe smooth how effective it as and now I got super smooth feet, there were so smooth I went around asking people to feel my feet , I keep rubbing my feet together just to feel the softness, i now got a foot fetish for my own feet

Ive seen podiatry offices use grinding devices on old peoples heavily fungus and calloused feet. Ive used lots of tools and nothing ever really helps it. Decided to get my small mouse sander cost me $20, and I used 120 grit sand paper. Worked beautifully. Then I applied some Palmers cocoa butter formula with vitamin e lotion to my heals. They are soft! I applied light pressure and I checked the heals every 30 sec or so just to make sure I was sanding it raw. Since with cracked calloused heals you cant feel anything its easy to sand it down too much and not notice it. My husband said he now wants to do it lol..

I have an electronic foot roller thing, the batteries run out before you can finish the other foot. It's basically like sanding in a pretty gadget. I have discovered the black foam sanding blocks my god arnt the the best things ever. Safely files down corns and calulous. No more noisy gadgets I'll stick to my cheap sanding blocks leaves feet feeling so smooth and soft
