Moulding on Newly Rendered Walls Turned Black?

I have oak veneered skirting (moulding) which has gone black due to being fitted to soon after rendering (plastering) the walls.
Can anyone tell me how to lighten or disguise this black or dark mark?

I suppose that you have not yet applied a finish to the wood. If that is the case you will be able to remove the black stain by using chlorine bleach. Apply with a rag until the color has returned then neutralize with water.
Experiment with a small area. Over application will result in whitening. Should this happen stain may be used to correct any problem areas.
