Make Your Own Pillowtop Mattress and Duvet Cover

Several years ago, I decided I wanted one of those featherbeds and a feather comforter. Instead of spending all that money, I took two old comforters, washed them up and put one under the fitted sheet on my bed - instant featherbed.

The other one, I made a cover for out of two old top sheets, I could have used new ones. I turned the sheets inside out, sewed around three sides and let the one long side open so I could slip the comforter in. I whipstitched it shut, it took some time to do, and put it on my bed.

Voila! ;) A happy grammy and grandpa and no expense! Cozy warm too!
