Removing a Bumper Sticker

To remove a bumper sticker from a metal bumper, dampen the sticker with vinegar, lighter fluid, or nail polish remover. Then scrape the sticker off with a razor blade.

I would reconsider using nail polish remover or lighter fluid to remove a bumper sticker. It could drip down and remove any paint that is below the bumper.

My Dad was an automotive refinisher and restorer. He would have had a heart attack if we had done that.

Another great way is to heat the sticker up with a hair dryer and peel it right off!
Good Luck!

The most common used and effective way to remove it, is by using soap and water. Depending on how gooey the leftover glue may be, you may want to use an eraser. At the beginning it will make things worse, but if you keep rubbing, it will eventually remove all the goo. Maybe you can check this one, All About Bumpers: autopartsnews.blogspot.com/

To remove a bumper sticker that was made of a plastic like material the heat from a hair dryer worked well. I only had to heat the sticker enough to be able to get a good grip and was then able to peal it off in one piece. Some rubbing alcohol removed the little bit of glue residue that was left around the edges.

Avoid scraping, even a plastic scraper will leave scratches. A little polish and wax and there was no sign of a sticker having been there.
