Renting Walkers?

Try the goodwill or thrift shop. They always have a lot of walkers. Probably cheaper than renting.

The Goodwill, thrift shops and yard sales are always cheaper. If you are on Medicare, usually they pay for the rent. But, once you are dismissed from your doctor from using a walker, the surgical supply service gets the walker back. For me it was just easier to buy a used walker from a second hand store, I think I paid $3.00 for it. We still have the walker in the basement saved for someone else to use or borrow. Good luck and I hope you find a good cheap one.

Our local thrift store has walkers. I am sure you could find one there as children of the elderly who used them give them away.

Check with your senior citizen center. Ours lets us use theirs for free. They have walkers,canes, etc.

many thanks to all you kind people who gave me excellent suggestions how to find a walker to rent for my use at my daughter's home. I will retain this informatin for future use.

If none of these resources help - try contacting the local Lions Club in that area. You can find the local clubs by checking http://www.lionsclubs.org, and many of them have medical loan closets that let you borrow equipment for free, or a donation at your discretion.
